Madjer was watching the match that brought together, on Tuesday, the Algerian national team with its Ethiopian counterpart at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algeria as part of the “Chan” competitions, when he was surprised by the loud whistles of boos as soon as his image appeared on the stadium’s giant screen.

The situation that Majer was subjected to sparked a wave of reactions among many social media users, as many denounced what he was subjected to.
In this context, Algerian international Djamel Belamri published, through the “Al-Asturi” feature, on his Instagram account, a picture of one of Majer’s coronations while he was a player in the national team, and commented on it, “A great shame; we did not see the whistles against those who offended Algeria in one way or another. On the other hand, other respondents considered that what Majer was subjected to was a reaction to his “negative” results with the Algerian national team when he was its coach, and also because of his trial On charges of benefiting “illegally” from advertising pages for the benefit of two newspapers he owned during the rule of former President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, a charge he kept denying himself.
