Flamenco encuentro wants to actively promote the awareness of flamenco in Switzerland.

Flamenco combines tradition with modernity, music with dance and is a witness to centuries of human history. Since November 2010 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Often known by the Swiss population as an impressive holiday experience, flamenco has numerous fans in this country. Both the Swiss and the growing Spanish population enliven and appreciate the nationwide flamenco movement. “Encuentro” means “encounter”: flamenco encuentro is the meeting place for the Swiss flamenco scene.

Our services:

The Association for Flamenco Switzerland

• bundles all events and workshops of the flamenco scene in a common flamenco calendar,
• advocates the establishment and recognition of flamenco culture in the area of ​​broad cultural and artistic creation in Switzerland.
• organizes its own projects and events that promote the establishment of flamenco culture in Switzerland,
• provides the professional members with an internal forum which enables direct networking and communication,
• regularly sends out newsletters that provide information on the current activities and highlights of the flamenco scene in Switzerland and the association’s ongoing projects,
• presents the entire flamenco network in Switzerland with a free platform for all flamenco professionals of all branches,

An association under the name Flamenco encuentro has existed since 2009 within the meaning of Art. 60 ff. Of the Swiss Civil Code and was converted into the Association for Flamenco Switzerland in 2020.

The seat of the association is Zurich; the association is politically, ethically and denominationally neutral

All of our employees work on a voluntary basis for the association.
