The Annual General Meeting at Dynamo: A Look at the Club’s Financial Performance and Growth

The annual general meeting will take place at Dynamo on Saturday. Then it’s the day of truth again…

Sales, profits, losses – all the numbers are on the table. BILD presents the most important ones in advance.

► The club ended the last 2022/23 season with a loss of 854,300 euros. This is significantly less than initially predicted after the relegation.

This is partly due to the fact that with the great comeback in the second half of the season and the resulting hope for promotion, spectator interest in home games increased significantly – and thus brought more money into the coffers.

► Dynamo is also attracting more attention from sponsors than ever. The marketing result from last season was 9.54 million euros – a club record.

► The Dresden stand now has an impressive 9.87 million euros. More than any other third division team.

The SGD has now been debt-free for seven years. A circumstance that is mainly due to former managing director Ralf Minge (63). Under the direction of the Dynamo idol, the club recovered like never before since the fall of communism.

► According to the annual report, personnel expenses will increase by EUR 2.06 million in the current 2023/24 season. This not only applies to the professional squad, but also to the office, infrastructure and youth department.

Means: Dynamo spends a lot of money by third division standards. However, without taking any financial risk. The declared goal of resurgence costs money.

The number of members continues to grow

► The planned average number of spectators of 23,000 per home game also proves that the SGD is exercising economic caution.

This should easily be exceeded; it is currently over 29,000 after the first seven home games. This is higher than ever since the new stadium was built.

► The number of members increased by 1,123 to 26,076 in the last series (as of June 30). This makes Dynamo one of the 25 clubs with the largest number of members in Germany.

Numbers that one could only have dreamed of just a few years ago!
