EXPECTED FOR 4 YEARS, THE 36TH EDITION OF THE AMERICA CUP STARTS THIS WEEK

After more than a month of competition, the Prada Cup named its winner: Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, who won 7-1 against the English Ineos Team UK in the final. For the third time in its history, Italy has won its ticket to the America’s Cup final and thus finds the Defender Emirates Team New Zealand.

In 2017, in the turquoise waters of Bermuda, the New Zealanders knocked out the Defender, Oracle Team USA, by winning 7 to 1. Four years later, Peter Burling – the youngest coxswain to win the competition – and his team, still seem formidable. But Luna Rossa has a revenge to take: 21 years ago the Italians lost in the America’s Cup against… New Zealand.

Two regattas per day are scheduled in Hauraki Bay off Auckland. The first to 7 wins will be designated the winner. Aggressive departures, pure match-race, the bar of 60 knots maybe crossed, the spectacle will be there!
