The alderman PS of Neupré, Benoît Hons, compares Travelers to “parasites”: he reacts to indignation (video)

A citizen pressed our orange button Alert us Saturday evening after being shocked by a virulent message from Benoît Hons. The socialist alderman of the commune of Neupré, in the province of Liège, published a message on his Facebook account around 6 p.m. on Saturday.

The elected official, who is also active at the Haute École de la Province de Liège, was obviously traveling to Seville, Spain, where he had his bank cards, his identity card, his money and his bag stolen on back. Following this mishap, he split a very clear opinion by targeting a group of individuals. This explicit text is punctuated by emoticons designating a devil or a person who vomits:

The magnificent Spanish Steps will keep a bitter taste for me. Having my backpack, my bank and identity cards, money and my glasses stolen … by what the romantics call “travelers”, parasitic specimens, living off the theft and laying their sires in trash trailers or even in their big Mercedes … that makes me ?? (note: vomiting smiley). I am thinking of the land that the communes put at their disposal, with water and convenience for their filthy “fertility”. I think of their fake fake tears and the only thing of value in this “species”: their golden teeth. Let them go to hell and I’m willing to show them the most direct way“.

The message has since been deleted and the alderman continues to post photos of his vacation. Benoît Hons always adds a reference to Travelers or theft of which he was the victim in a more roundabout way.

I don’t think I am aggressive towards a community or people

Joined by our editorial staff, he sees nothing problematic with the message he posted and then deleted: “I posted a message of sadness over the situation on Facebook, did he answer our journalist Justine Pons. I do not think I am aggressive towards a community or towards people. I am just saddened to see that, compared to people who we know very well that they pose a problem, whether it be to tourists or even to Spaniards, we do not take adequate measures to remove or protect tourists “.

Saturday evening, we were unable to obtain the opinion of the Socialist Party or other Neupré agents. The alderman had already been talked about in February by criticizing the presence of a veiled girl on a poster of the youth parliament of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
