The Alcalá de Henares taxi continues with the free public service to restrooms

Taxi drivers from Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) come to make more than 100 services a day, taking health workers to attend home visits.

The company Alcala Radio Taxi has rejected, like other companies, the aid that the Directorate General of Transport has sent to contribute to the cost of fuel, cleaning and disinfection of cars, 132,000 euros in total.

Radio Telephone Taxi de Madrid, Alcalá Radio Taxi, cooperatives, tele taxis and other federations, have decided to reject the economic offer in favor of Madrid’s health care.

His wish is that this economic amount be derived to the purchase of masks, PPE, respirators, or any other need or material that public health needs at this time.

During the following weeks, Alcalá Radio Taxi will continue with its free service, and will make its vehicles available to the people who need it most at this time.
