A mall in the city of Arad, inaugurated in 2011, after an investment of approximately 70 million eurowhich has not functioned in recent years because it was abandoned by the tenants, is put up for sale.

According to the sale announcement of Galleria Mall Arad, the price is 100 euros per built square meter for the built area of 92,000 square meters.

The building has a plot of 35,000 square meters and 1,000 covered parking spaces.

Representatives of the Supreme Court, who currently owns the building, they confirmed, for AGERPRES, that the mall is for sale and they stated that the price is 9,200,000 euros non-negotiable. The owners did not want to make any further clarifications regarding the sale of the mall in Arad, which was purchased in 2016 from GTC for the price of 2.1 million euros, under the conditions in which part of GTC’s debts were also taken over to the banks.

Market sources told AGERPRES on Friday that two investors are negotiating to take over Galleria Mall Arad, where they would set up a commercial complex, an entertainment center and a SPA.

On the website of the current owner, it is written that the mall was acquired in 2016 “as a commercial center in a crisis situation financială”.

In 2017, most of the shops in the shopping center were closed, and in the last four years only the counters of the authorities, for identity cards, passports or driver’s licenses, functioned in the building.
