The 90th edition of the Fair postponed, three new fairs in 2021

The Fair will take place from November 6 to 15

As we know, usually the Food Fair always starts on the last day of October or the 1st of November. But this year, it will take another week to be able to enter the gargantuan belly of Dijon Congrexpo: the event will be held from November 6 to 15. Jean Battault president of Congrexpo explains: “The pandemic has changed the calendar of French fairs. That of Paris has gone from spring to autumn, but many exhibitors are participating: we have postponed our fair so that they can also make ours. “As for sanitary conditions, the president is vague:” We are five months from the opening of the Fair, things are really not yet defined, but we will do everything to ensure everyone’s safety. Distancing will be possible and disinfection repeated. The exhibitors also want to work: they will not miss the profitable event which is the fair, and the people, they will be happy to find a moment of conviviality “.

Florissimo will take place next spring

The Dijon flower show could not have celebrated its 40th anniversary last March. The reason was not health, but political. It was François Rebsamen who decided to postpone it, arguing that he should save money and citing environmental reasons. In the end Florissimo will be held a year later, in April 2021. “It will be a hymn to the gardens of the world: the recruitment phase for ornamental florists is already underway” assured Jean Battault. Pascale Jacotot, landscape designer DPLG will be the prime contractor.

Three new events on the agenda around e-sport, beer and cycling

Dijon Congrexpo will have to refuel in the coming months. The public service delegate therefore imagined three new meetings dedicated to three different audiences. Dijon e-sport Bourgogne Franche-Comté, from 14 to 15 November 2020, will be an event around the world of video games. Dijon Congrexpo will draw on the expertise of ZQSD Productions, already organizing the unmissable congress in Lyon. A Beer and Gastronomy Fair will be held in March 2021: “It is not an Oktoberferst but a fair around a product in constant growth”, specifies our interlocutor. Beer is still in full swing: the 120 craft brewers of our territory will be in the spotlight. Finally, a Salon Vélo & Co, in September 2021, will highlight this soft mobility in all its forms.
