Garrett plays a Pinkerton agent named Thomas, who is Shea Brennan’s right-hand man, played by none other than Sam Elliott. Garrett’s character joins the caravan that also includes the Duttons. Garrett will be a long way from The CW multiverse for his next adventure in a shared television universe!
In a fun twist, 1883 won’t be the first time LaMonica Garrett has worked on the same project as Yellowstone creator and 1883 writer-director Taylor Sheridan, as they both appeared in various episodes of FX’s Sons of Anarchy, though your characters never overlapped to share scenes. And definitely no motorcycle gang will appear in 1883.
That said, the 1883 scale will be something to behold. Production has officially begun on the Yellowstone prequel in Fort Worth, Texas, and Deadline reports that 30 actual cars were built for the wagon train that will be central to the show.
