The 17th International Kremerata Baltica Festival will take place in Dzintari Concert Hall

According to the representatives of the concert hall, next to the world-famous violinist Gidon Kremer and the outstanding musicians of the chamber orchestra “Kremerata Baltica”, a pianist will perform at the concerts of the festival. Georgijs Osokins, violinist Hugo Tichati, mezzo – soprano Lusiana Mancini and cellist Giedre Dirvanauskaite.

The concert on September 12 will be a special chamber music evening with Gidon Kremer himself at the conductor’s desk. He will be joined by “Kremerata Baltica” resident artist, Latvian audience’s favorite pianist Georgijs Osokins, as well as orchestra cello group concertmaster Giedre Dirvanauskaite and “Kremerata Baltica” string quintet, consisting of Stella Zaķe, Zane Kalniņa, Jevgeņš, Jevgeņš.

The program will feature the flower of Western European classics – Robert Schuman’s end-of-life opus – “Third Sonata for Violin and Piano”, Felix Mendelssohn’s “Second String Quintet” and the great Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano”.

In the concert on September 13, alongside maestro Gidon Kremer and the orchestra’s resident artist pianist Georgi Osokin, special guests are expected – extraordinary and intellectual violinist Hugo Ticciati, who has repeatedly performed works by Latvian composers Lusina The Chilean-Swedish singer is a brilliant performer of early music, performing with famous early music ensembles, such as the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and “L’Arpeggiata”.

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the outstanding composer Ludwig van Beethoven, two of his compositions will be heard at the concert. The “Fourth Piano Concerto” after its premiere was written as “the most amazing, artistic, unusual and complicated concert composed by Beethoven”.

In the world of Beethoven’s late string quartets, on the other hand, philosophical bells ring, sinking into the depths of precincts that were not understood by contemporaries. As for the slow part of the 15th string quartet, Beethoven himself said that “it is an anthem of thanksgiving to the divinity of the recovering patient.”

The concert program also includes two world premieres – the world-renowned Lithuanian pianist and contemporary music enthusiast Andrius Žlabis has created a new work for Gidon Kremer and “Kremerata Baltica” called “Kaleidoscope of the lost time”, but the nostalgic artist loves nostalgic pain Emily Dickinson’s poetry series “Summer Dreams” for voice, violin and chamber orchestra is an international ensemble – the Kremerata Baltica orchestra in collaboration with the Swedish ensemble “O / Modernt”, which will be the next performers of “Summer Dreams”.
