The wrestling league WWE has continued its program uninterrupted despite the corona pandemic – but not all stars are involved.

League flagship Roman Reigns has canceled his WrestleMania match against Bill Goldberg due to concerns about his health and has not been seen on TV shows since. Now it has become known that another colleague has withdrawn: the reigning Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn.

Sami Zayn pauses because of Corona

Again Wrestling Observer reports that Zayn canceled his participation in the SmackDown edition last week. The 35-year-old was missing this week as well, in the next episode probably as well – both shows were recorded last Monday.

Zayn has not been on the program since his match against Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 in early April (like his good friend Kevin Owens at RAW, by the way). Fellow citizens who do not take the disease seriously and demonstrate against the restrictions have already targeted Zayn on his Twitter account. It is quite possible that his WWE break also has a political component.
