Propaganda footage by the Russian Defense Ministry shows an increased military presence in the Arctic. Russia is also testing an apparently particularly destructive torpedo there.
The USA and other countries are currently looking at Russian activities in the Arctic with concern. Recordings from the Russian Defense Ministry show increased presence in the region. At the end of March, a nuclear submarine broke through a meter-thick layer of ice.
There the Kremlin is apparently also testing its new weapon, the “Poseidon” torpedo. According to media reports, this is powered by a nuclear reactor and should be able to use radioactive waves to make entire coastal landscapes uninhabitable for decades.
