TGV traffic interrupted between Dijon and Paris following a theft of cables

Following the theft of copper cables in several sectors of Côte-d’Or, traffic has been completely interrupted between Dijon and Paris since this morning. The TGVs take another, slower route to bypass the incident area.

This Friday, March 5, SNCF agents observed the theft of copper signaling cables on the tracks in several sectors of Côte-d’Or. Mainly around Laumes, Montbard and Laroche-Migennes, making it impossible for trains to travel between Dijon and Laroche-Migennes. This flight resulted in signal failures all along the route.

Since this morning, it is impossible to reach Dijon in Paris directly. All TGVs in the direction of Paris are redirected to Mâcon. Significant delays can therefore be expected. Agents are already on site to try to resolve the problem.

According to the SNCF, TER traffic on the Dijon> Paris line will be restored around 12 noon.

Disrupted TGV lines:

  • Paris> Besançon
  • Paris> Dijon
  • Paris> Montbeliard
  • Paris> Mulhouse
  • Paris> Switzerland
