The inspection of the apartment, which was uploaded on January 26 and is supposed to be rented for 1,650 US dollars (1,375.46 euros), has already generated over 42,000 – mostly mocking – comments on the social media platform.
The two-part video, dubbed “New York’s worst apartment”, shows a chamber with a window in which there appears to be only a sink and a small refrigerator with no freezer compartment. A real estate agent explains that you can shower in a shared shower in the hallway, where the shared toilet is located in another room, but without a sink.
New York is known for horrendous rents. According to a study published by Deutsche Bank in 2019, New York is the city with the third most expensive housing in the world. Accordingly, you pay an average of about $ 2,900 for a two-bedroom apartment.
