In the city of Ushuaia, where the vast majority of the province’s tourist flow is concentrated, the swabbing is carried out from Monday to Saturday in a school gym.

The authorities arranged a double shift during the summer, to attend in order of arrival to those who show up both in the morning (from 7:30 to 11) and in the afternoon (from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m.).

Tourists visiting Tierra del Fuego must not comply with any health requirement from November 15, 2021, with the exception of foreigners who are subject to the measures provided by the National Government, such as having a complete vaccination schedule for at least fourteen days before entering the country, negative PCR test 72 hours before entry, health insurance with coverage for Covid-19 and the Cuidar application.

The official pointed out that vaccination devices are added in “all the parties and events that are taking place in the area” and stressed that “the reinforcement comes more than anything with incorporating strategies that at some point were done simultaneously throughout the province” .

“Within the provincial strategy, we have been vaccinating not only residents, but also tourists who are visiting the area for almost a month and a half,” he added, specifying that “it is not a requirement for vaccination to have an address in the province. , but take advantage of the opportunity of vaccination for those people who need to complete a schedule or receive a booster or even receive a first dose”.
