Tesla’s net profit reached $ 1.14 billion in the April-June quarter, compared to $ 104 million in the same period in 2020, while sales reached $ 11.96 billion, the group led by Elon Musk, in a statement quoted by Le Figaro.
The company had previously announced that it sold 201,250 cars in the second quarter, a new level despite the semiconductor crisis that is disrupting the car industry.
Tesla, which usually makes a large profit from selling green certificates to other companies because its cars are not polluting, is facing a reduction in this source of profit. Revenue from this business was only $ 354 million in the second quarter, compared to $ 518 million in the previous quarter.
