The automotive company Tesla has started to deliver Model 3 electric cars built in its Gigafactory 3 factory in Shanghai (China). The vehicles were delivered in an official ceremony on Monday to the first 15 customers, all of them Tesla employees, Tesla’s Twitter account in China reported.
“This is a happy party for Tesla. Today, Model 3 was delivered to our esteemed employees to pay them back for the hard work they have done for a year. Thanks to their efforts, Tesla has advanced!”, wrote the company in Weibo, adding photos of the workers with their new vehicles.

The company’s chief executive, Elon Musk, previously predicted that Tesla will make at least 1,000 cars a week in Shanghai until the end of the year, always aiming to reach the goal of 3,000 units per week.
In November, several Model 3 assembled at the plant were presented during a trial production, which began in October. According to Tesla’s CEO in China, Wang Hao, the company planned to accelerate Model 3 deliveries in January.
