“Tesla Cybertruck Prototype Spotted in Texas Countryside Ahead of Launch”

In anticipation of Tesla’s cyberpunk-inspired electric pickup launch, car enthusiasts are content with unofficial prototype images and videos that pop up online from time to time.

Previously, the Tesla Cybertruck body was seen at a gigafactory in Texas, and there was also a video where an armored pickup truck maneuvers all four wheels at the same time, and footage of its giant windshield wiper. And recently, a Cybertruck prototype was spotted in the Texas countryside, albeit stuck in a field.

The car was likely brought to a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Tesla’s new lithium plant near Corpus Christi, Texas.

The video shows how alarmed Tesla employees gathered around a car parked on the side of the road. If you view the footage from different angles, the only new thing that can be noted is that the Cybertruck does a good job of transporting a tool rack in the back.

The user who posted the video says that Elon Musk himself was driving – although he does not provide any evidence for his claim.

  • Tesla introduced the Cybertruck in 2019 and said the electric pickup will hit the market by the end of 2021. However, the automaker subsequently announced production difficulties, a shortage of batteries and chips, and therefore postponed the deadline for another year. Elon Musk later said that production was planned to begin at the end of 2022; now the date has been moved to the summer of 2023, and the pickup truck should go into series in 2024.
  • At the end of 2022, Tesla was reported to have over 1.5 million Cybertruck orders, and Elon Musk boasted in May that Tesla was stocked with more than three years of orders.
