The very idea of creating such a thing – Bulgarian “Magnitsky”, is a private Gestapo in the hands of the Minister of Finance and is horrifying. This has nothing to do with “Magnitsky” and there is no need for such a thing. This was stated by lawyer Nikolay Hadjigenov to BNT regarding the bill on the establishment of the Bulgarian “Magnitsky”.
According to him, this is a terrible evil and if something like this has arisen in someone’s head, it should be stopped immediately. He asked what happened to Barcelonagate, Boyko Borissov and GERB? Such a body will deal with the economic and political opponents of the government, whoever they are, said lawyer Hadjigenov.
According to him, when the dictatorship collapsed two years ago, the approval of the people reached 70%, and now the approval of the entire coalition is less than 35%. GERB and MRF cannot be allowed to do whatever they want in parliament. The parliament is not working on anything and the Ministry of Justice is still preparing a project for “Magnitsky”, Hadjigenov wonders.
He believes that the MP from “We continue the change” Hristo Petrov, better known as Itzo Hazarta, stood out more in the current parliament and worked more than all lawyers in the current National Assembly.
For his part, lawyer Emanuil Yordanov said he had not seen any such bill, trying to find something on the Internet, but failed. Yordanov wants to see something that has to do with the law-making technology itself. If something scandalous is introduced, he will not pass and find support in the current parliament, lawyer Yordanov believes.
