Janis De Zitter from Avelgem will blow out 22 candles in Kortrijk next Tuesday. It may be his last birthday, because the young man has a rare form of Huntington’s disease, a condition that also killed his dad 9 years ago. “Janis is deteriorating very quickly now,” says mom Annabel Forêt (45). Positive as they are, the family hopes to make it one more unforgettable birthday for the former football striker and great supporter of Club Brugge. And the whole of Flanders can help with that.
