Wrongly dismissed, an employee of the City of Geneva is reinstated: all’s well that ends well? Not quite. A.’s setbacks are not over. According to our information, this municipal employee who worked as a driver lost his job overnight in the summer of 2017. Following tensions with colleagues, he was accused of having soiled a truck owned by his employer in 2016 and of ‘having written an offensive message against his comrades. In 2018, the Police Court condemns him for these facts, but he will be acquitted the following year, then reinstated this year within the City. But he is still fighting today to obtain the payment of his salary arrears since the end of June 2017.
