The longest football season in the English Premier League is on Sunday (from 4 p.m. live on Sky – Stream comfortably with Sky X) ended after 353 days. Liverpool (96 points) has long been champion and Manchester City (78) runner-up, but a thriller is looming for the last two Champions League spots. Manchester United (63), Chelsea (63) and Leicester City (62) only separated one point before the last round.
But that’s not all: Leicester, employer of Austria’s ex-team captain Christian Fuchs, receives United for a real final on Sunday afternoon, with a draw for the Manchester guests being enough to take part in the premier class. The same applies to Chelsea, who are at home against the sixth-placed Wolverhampton. A tie would be enough for Leicester if the Wolves win in London. In this case, the worse goal difference against Chelsea and for the Fuchs Club would speak in the event of a tie.
The relegation battle also promises high tension, since so far only Norwich City has been determined as a relegated relegation team. Aston Villa (goal difference: -26) and Watford (-27) both hold 34 points, three points behind Bournemouth (-27) is penultimate and is thus under pressure to win. Aston Villa must go to Tables-15. West Ham United, Watford to London for the Tenth Arsenal and Bournemouth to Liverpool for the Eleventh Everton.
