Tens of thousands of Belarusians took to the streets again and mass arrests

The unrest in Belarus has been going on for a month and after presidential election from August 9. Lukashenko, who has ruled the country with an iron fist for 26 years, obtained 80 percent of the vote, according to the official count. The opposition claims that fraud has been widespread. The EU and the US are also convinced of this.

Demonstrations against the election results were also held abroad today. For example, dozens of protesters gathered at the Belarusian embassy in Moscow. At the Vredenburg in Utrecht, Dutch Belarusians protested against Lukashenko this afternoon.
