Tennis, ATP – Indian Wells 2023 tournament: Hurkacz dismisses Popyrin

The Polish Hubert Hurkacz, seeded number 9, dominated the lucky-loser Australian Alexei Popyrin without being worried in the score (6-3, 6-3) to climb to the third round of the Indian Wells tournament, in the night from Saturday to Sunday.

Hurkacz, 11th player in the world and winner of the Miami Masters 1000 in 2021, will face the American Tommy Paul, semi-finalist at the start of the year at the Australian Open. It will be one of the men’s shocks of this third round.
