This weekend, publisher Tencent held its annual press conference to present its future titles. The Chinese giant returned to several already known games but also took the opportunity to present SYN, a technical demo of a first-person game that should be released worldwide on consoles and PCs. And we must admit that the first images make you want.
A demo still in the planning stage
Definitely, the future release of Cyberpunk 2077 seems to give many ideas to the developer to rush into this theme. SYNis the name of this technical demo broadcast this weekend and which shows us a future game for our consoles and PC. A worldwide release is planned, although it is still unclear when it will be released.
This is of course a demo and there will still be a lot of changes between now and its release. Besides, SYN, is probably not the final name, and it is probably the code name or this demo. However, we must admit that the first images command respect, with extensive customization of his avatar and the presence of cybernetic animals who accompany us.
It is this last component which will bring its originality in the future title, with bears or felines which will be improved thanks to an exo-skeleton. Many vehicles can also be used like taxis and other more or less futuristic cars. Everything will be played in open world and the project seems to have great promise.
Finally, it should be noted that the software is developed in-house at Tencent and the Lightspeed and Quantum studios are at work. The whole thing runs under the Unreal Engine. We will remain patient for the moment while moderating our expectations since it is a technical demo, but the final title should land worldwide on consoles and PC.
