Today the Giro finishes, ten years after the fatal stage of Wouter Weylandt. The rider died on 9 May 2011 during a sharp descent in Italy, when his pregnant girlfriend went to buy baptismal sugar for their unborn daughter in Ghent. Just before her ninth Mother’s Day without him, An-Sophie De Graeve (37) looks back and forward. “I no longer get it in my heart to visit Wouter’s grave.
