In the week of May 2, when the group celebrates its 125th anniversary and Mother’s Day is also celebrated, the measure would already be temporarily suspended. It has now been decided not to reactivate temporary unemployment afterwards.
The entire staff will be able to get back to work throughout May. It will then be evaluated whether this can continue to be the case. The department store chain hopes that everyone can continue to work after May.
The temporary unemployment hit the 16 stores and headquarters, or about 700 people. This involved half of the store staff.
