Telepizza courier injured after losing track in Braga

Seven young people suspected of drug trafficking are going to be released from the preventive detention order by order of the judge who leads the process, since, says the magistrate, the Braga jail does not have the conditions of distance imposed by the Government decree, to fight the covid-19 pandemic.

Second writes The Newspaper, citing the judge, the decision comes after “the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization, alongside the state of emergency in which we find ourselves and which, with a high probability, will be prolonged from the next few days, in addition to the appeal of the United Nations Organization regarding the prison population, in particular the most vulnerable ”.

Preventively imprisoned in the Braga Prison, young people benefit from the judge’s decision that the jail does not contain conditions for “the detachment recommended by the General Health Directorate and the World Health Organization”, “this due to the overcrowding of prisons”, and which can have “serious consequences if there is a focus of contamination”.

By this time, the sentence of the group that trafficked hard drugs in the districts of Braga and Porto should already be known, but in view of the conditions imposed by the arrival of covid-19, the trial was successively postponed.

As far as we know, young people will be under house arrest pending the resumption of court sessions.
