Telecom Egypt has raised the fees for home landline contracts, according to a source close to the company, and the increase will be implemented starting today.
According to the source, the total expenses for ordering and installing the landline, including taxes and stamps, increased by 203.40 pounds instead of 115.03 pounds.
The source told Masrawy that the installation requests submitted by customers before the launch of the new contracting system were available and the technical capabilities were available after implementing the new contracting system. The rest of the contract terms will be completed with them at the new prices.
Telecom Egypt did not raise the fees for submitting an application to install a landline phone, amounting to 17.5 pounds, while it raised installation expenses from 72.5 pounds to 150 pounds, an increase of more than 106%, bringing the total application and installation expenses without stamp duty and value-added tax to 203.40 pounds instead of 115.30 pounds.
The Egyptian Telecom Company “We” had raised the prices of landline internet packages by more than 30%, with the new price increase being implemented starting January 5, with browsing educational and government service websites free of charge.
Landline Internet packages with a capacity of 140 GB were increased to 160 pounds, excluding tax, instead of 120 pounds.
The subscription price for the 200 GB package is 225 pounds instead of 170 pounds, the 250 GB package is priced at 280 pounds instead of 210 pounds, and the 400 GB package is priced at 440 pounds instead of 340 pounds.
The price of the 600 GB package will be 650 pounds instead of 500 pounds, and the 1 TB package will be priced at 1,050 pounds instead of 800 pounds.
