According to taxis, the American giant has deceived its world with a non-existent association.
Uber platform users may have noticed this. Since the end of November, they have been asked to be a member of an association under Belgian law so that they can order a car race. What they do not know is that this association was created “in disaster” by the lawyers of the American giant to allow Uber to be able to continue operating in Brussels. This is at least what lawyers from the Belgian Taxi Federation (Febet) say, who have brought an action on appeal against eight Uber drivers for unfair competition.
