With a total income of NOK 17,348,311, he is the host of ‘Kompani Lauritzen’, Kristian Ødegård (48), which was the highest paid TV profile in 2021.
This is demonstrated by last year’s tax data, made available on Wednesday morning.

Last year it was Fredrik Skavlan (56) who topped the list of highest paid TV profiles in Norway a total income of more than NOK 19 million in 2020. Now that Skavlan is no longer hosting the ‘Skavlan’ TV show, it is not included in the calculation even though it increased its revenue by more than four million in 2021.

Earned 15 million more than fellow presenter
In recent years, Kristian Ødegård has led the box office hit ‘Company Lauritzen’ on TV 2 together with presenter and TV partner Dag Otto Lauritzen (66).
Despite the same television success, however, Ødegård earned over 15 million more than Lauritzen, who had an income of NOK 1,598,289 in 2021.
Tax data
- The tax lists report equalized income and assets for the year 2021, but they don’t say everything about a person’s income or assets.
- The income in the tax lists is the so-called ordinary income: the sum of all income less deductions.
- An employee with large deductions, such as interest expense, travel expenses, or losses on the sale of stock, will therefore have much less income on the tax rolls than his actual wage income.
- Real wealth can also be significantly higher, due to steep discounts in valuation. In 2021, this discount was 45% for, among others, shares and stock certificates, fund units and commercial real estate.
- Your home is valued at up to 25 percent of its appraised value.
- Each year, Kapital estimates the real wealth of The 400 richest people in Norwayand these values are in some cases much higher than the equity value.
In addition to his work as a presenter, Ødegård is also very successful as a television producer and program creator. The 48-year-old is behind several big TV hits, such as ‘Nissene på låven’ and ‘Huskestue’.
In 2020, however, Ødegård had an income of NOK 2,871,856. In one year, he thus increased his income by well over NOK 14 million.
More roundups
Another person who also stands out in the list of TV profiles income is presenter and artist Andreas Haukeland (29), or TIX as he is better known.
According to the tax records, the 29-year-old had an income of NOK 12,498,322.
Haukeland has been seen on the TV screen as the host of “Paradise Hotel” on Viaplay, but it’s still the music that the artist probably makes his money from.
Also following in the list of the best paid TV profiles are ‘Kongen befaler’ presenter Ale Antonsen (53) with an income of over eight million kroner, and ‘Praktisk Info’ presenter Jon Almaas (55) with an income of nearly seven million crowns.
Jørgine Massa Vasstrand (33) also tops the list with an income of NOK 7,813,543. She has been seen on the television screen as a presenter of ‘Norway’s Toughest’ on NRK. Vasstrand is too Norway’s best paid influencers.
Big differences
However, there are several important differences between the biggest TV profiles. While Truls Svendsen (50) grossed over six million in 2021, TV buddy Eyvind Hellstrøm (74) earned nearly two million less than his colleague.
Together, the duo hosted a number of programs together. Including the TV 2 hit “Truls à la Hellstrøm”.
According to tax data, Hellstrøm had an income of NOK 4,096,058, while Svendsen earned NOK 6,174,703 in 2021.
And while Anne Lindmo (52) had an income of NOK 816,624 in 2021, Else Kåss Furuseth (42) earned more than double that with an income of more than two million. The two host their own talk shows on the same channel.

‘Farmen’ presenters Tiril Sjåstad Christiansen (27) and Niklas Baarli (33), who each host their own ‘Farmen’ programme, are the presenters with more or less the same job who earn more or less the same.
According to the tax lists, Sjåstad Christiansen had an income of NOK 1,181,549 in 2021, while Baarli had an income of NOK 1,412,488.
