For the first time ever, the world was shown “camouflage”, in which both crews of the Tatra Phoenix in the truck category and a replica of the legendary Tatra Puma in the Dakar Classic race will take part in the Dakar. Also present in the heart of Prague were the crew members of all three trucks, the twins Aliyyah and Yasmeen Kolocova, who at just 18 years of age awaits her debut at the Dakar Rally in the special Can-Am DV21 class T3.
Several members of the Czech Philharmonic played Buggyra in front of the Rudolfinum. And also in the Dvořák Hall during a small “private concert” for the pilots. “For me it was the greatest experience of the day. I had never been to the Rudolfinum and I was fascinated by its architecture. It is a beautiful place. The fact that the masters of the Czech Philharmonic played only for us further underlined my impression ”, appreciates Jaroslav Valtr.

Thus, the experienced driver was able to at least for a while avoid the disappointment that his son Michal would not race the Dakar in the colors of the Valtr Racing family team. “Unfortunately we couldn’t find enough sponsors, so the project failed. But maybe in 2024 they will replace me at the wheel of the Tatra in Buggyra colors. It’s very fast,” dreamed Valtr senior.
Slovakian racer Radovan Kazarka, who is looking forward to his first Dakar participation in cooperation with Buggyra, was also enthusiastic about the presentation. “I am very happy that we were also able to present ourselves in Prague. Thanks to the team for taking us under their wing. Watching our Tatras and seeing Prague Castle behind them was an impressive sight,” said the pilot Slovakian Tatras Puma. The legendary navigator Josef Kalina will sit next to him.
Buggyra will travel to France on Tuesday, where the organizers will take delivery of the race cars and embark them on a ferry to Saudi Arabia, with the other part of the team joining directly in Saudi Arabia following December’s rally in Dubai .
