On Sunday March 13, 2022, Maxime Le Forestier drops off his luggage on the performance stage, Eurythmie, in Montauban. From 5 p.m., the singer will present his new album.
“To appear or not to be” is the name of the latest album by Maxime Le Forestier released in 2019. The author of “My brother” or “San Francisco” comes to perform in Montauban this Sunday, March 13, 2022. This is an opportunity for the singer to present the titles of his new album. Starting at 17hthese songs will resonate in the Eurythmy performance hall.
Ten songs without “grand orchestral gestures”
In this new book, Maxime Le Forestier tries to keep it simple. As explained in the description of his album, it includes “ten songs that appear right now in a form very close to that which they will have on stage. No proud arrangements, no grand orchestral gestures. Not too much to appear”.
Maxime Le Forestier wrote his songs in the countryside to be more calm. Next to his house in the south of Paris, a building was being built and preventing him from working. It is for this reason that he explains: “I make songs whose common point is to have been written in the same period. And, as far as the songs on this album are concerned, in the same place”. The album is coming almost six years after his penultimate work, “The Gift”. It presents a dozen “poetic, realistic or ironic” titles.
