Take-Two sets up new studio for development of Kerbal Space Program 2 – Gaming – News

Take-Two’s publishing label Private Division has established a new studio in Seattle for the development of Kerbal Space Program 2. The studio takes over the development of Star Theory Games.

The new studio, which Private Division does not seem to have given a name yet, consists partly of members of Star Theory, such as the head of that studio, the creative director and the primary producer. In addition, Private Division is looking for new employees for the studio, such as a community manager.

Take-Two announced Kerbal Space Program 2 last year and then said that the game would appear in the spring of 2020 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Then it became clear that the space game will come out in fiscal year 2021, that will start April 1, 2020 and end at the end of March 2021. The publisher stays with that release period, despite the fact that a new studio is taking over the development of Star Theory.

The first version of Kerbal Space Program was made by the Squad studio. That game appeared in 2015 and more than 3.5 million copies have since been sold. Part 2 is more extensive, contains a new interface, makes interstellar travel possible and gets support for multiplayer, so the promise is.
