ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Forza Italia is the third political force in the administrative elections, and if we add the votes of Us Moderates, our percentage becomes significant. What I mean? That there is a large political space that we absolutely must occupy together. We have seen that the dream of giving life to the Third Pole is a little nuanced. The choice of the Democratic Party to move far to the left, and I don’t think that many former Christian Democrats or former socialists believe they have to continue along a path that would lead them to be part of an increasingly extreme left, abandoning an increasingly important space in the centre. And we have a duty to be a new point of reference for this electorate”. This was stated by the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, in his speech at the first congress of Noi Moderati underway in Rome. “We must, also in view of the European elections, think about doing something together – Tajani said addressing the audience of Us Moderates – to also change the structures that the European Parliament does not allow for clear choices to be made: we must begin to reflect on possible alliances with conservatives and liberals to have a bipolarity with the forces of the left”. Tajani also brought greetings from Berlusconi “who is operational and is watching all developments in the political situation with great attention and giving Forza Italia the indications to follow”.
