LEAD – The 38-year-old Eric ‘t Mannetje from Leiden did not know what happened to him last week. While he was sleeping unsuspectingly at home in the South Holland city, the Taiwanese police tried to get in touch with him on the other side of the world. The Taiwanese hunted for a Dutch tourist who might have been infected with the corona virus and who had escaped from his imposed quarantine at his hotel in the city of Hualien. In addition, they erroneously aimed their arrows at Leiden.
