Tailor misses the World Cup | RTL News

The 29-year-old man from Hierden received a positive result on his Covid-19 test after arriving in London and was withdrawn from the event according to PDC protocols.

Martijn Kleermaker said: “I am very disappointed that I cannot participate in the World Championship. My health is my main priority and at the moment I am not showing any symptoms, but I would ask everyone to respect my privacy at this difficult time.

“Thanks for your support and understanding.”

As confirmed before the PDPA Tour Card Holder Qualifier was played, Josh Payne – the highest placed player of the six losers of the final round in the qualifier – would replace Tailor on the schedule.

Despite having received a negative Covid-19 test, Payne has been in close contact with someone who has received a positive test for the past 24 hours and will therefore need to be in home isolation for some time to come.

There is now no longer any possibility to replace the players, so Carolissen will go directly to the next round. Carolissen then takes on Danny Noppert.
