TAG Heuer presents Mario Kart – Gaming – .Geeks themed watches

Luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer is back with two watches as part of a partnership with Nintendo. This time it’s analog clocks; last time it was a digital copy with Wear OS. The cheaper variant costs 4150 euros.

The product series is called TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Limited Edition and is composed of a chronograph and a tourbillon chronograph. The price difference between the two is great: the Chronograph costs 4150 euros and the Tourbillon Chronograph costs 24,750 euros. 3000 of the first and only 250 of the Tourbillon will be made. the smartwatch from Nintendo and TAG Heuer costs $ 2150.

The Tourbillon Chronograph has a additional mechanism on board which should reduce the influence of gravity on the accuracy of the watch. This is what makes it so much more expensive. Such mechanisms are often visible, for example, on the dial. This is also the case with this example, where the second dial has an opening behind which the tourbillon can be seen. The Tourbillon Chronograph also stands out on the back. Here, the mechanism can also be seen in action, along with moving sculptures of Mario, Princess Peach, and Luigi in various vehicles.

In addition, both models are full of references to Mario Kart games. At the Tourbillon Chronograph, Mario goes around the second hand, chased by a blue tortoise shell and a Bullet Bill. The chronograph only has Mario on a kart with a different dial, but it again shows all sorts of Mario Kart items where the date display is.

The chronograph will go on sale on October 20, but will not arrive in Belgium or the Netherlands. Australia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United States are served by TAG Heuer, so anyone interested will have to import it. No release date has yet been set for the Tourbillon Chronograph; it comes in the same countries as the chronograph.
