Switzerland: The support platform to the traders has been a success – Suisse

The platform created to help traders from French-speaking switzerland affected by the coronavirus draws a positive balance, a few days before his arrest. More than 2.4 million swiss francs were paid to the 4400 traders registered.

“This exceeded all our expectations”, said two initiators of the project, the people of Fribourg Oliver and Eleanor Price, quoted in a press release of the junior chamber international Switzerland (JCIS) aired in the night of Sunday to Monday. They thank the 15’000 consumers “who have contributed to this success.”

Created by the two Fribourg, the project was taken over by the JCIS, which had exported the concept throughout the French-speaking Switzerland, as well as in the cantons of Schwyz and Grisons.

Buy good

The platform offered to consumers to purchase vouchers that were valid at the end of the confinement. Their amount was donated in full to the stores, bars, restaurants, hair salons and other businesses.

The aim was, according to the instigators of the project, to help small companies to stay afloat during this period economically complicated. No profit was made on the transactions.

Most of the internet sites dedicated to this initiative will be closed in the coming days, said the release of the JCIS. A new platform will soon be a day in Freiburg, aiming to highlight the local shops and crafts, as well as to support the digitization of small shops. (tty/nxp)
