Slogans against racism were heard in many cities of Switzerland Saturday. The events take place in Lausanne, Zurich, Bern, St. Gallen or Lucerne.
While they were more than 10’000 people on Tuesday in Geneva, the protesters will take to the streets from 17: 00 to Lausanne. In Bern, where 3000 to 4000 people were gathered in the early afternoon without permission, the protesters on the federal mostly black clothing and masks against the sars coronavirus. The police has tweeted that she tried to join the leaders of the event.

Dressed in black
In Zurich, too, the protesters were almost exclusively dressed in black, carrying banners with slogans such as “White silence is violence”. According to the rules of the Confederation regarding the pandemic of sars coronavirus, only the gatherings with up to 300 people are allowed. This is the second week in a row that the Swiss are experiencing protests against police violence and racism.
Despite the limitations due to the pandemic, thousands of people took to the streets of many european cities in recent days. The trigger was the death of the Afro-american George Floyd in a brutal police operation in the United States on the 25th of may.
