After the Federal Council decided against relaxing the measures four weeks ago, Swiss Olympic reminded the state government of the value of sport for society on a health and psychological level.
Now, in mid-April, from the point of view of Swiss Olympic it is even more urgent that the Federal Council significantly improve the conditions of the population for physical, mental and emotional well-being by deciding to relax the sport.
More than 250 specific, widely accepted and proven protection concepts for sport are already available, with the application of which the implementation of competitions in certain types of sport is fundamentally possible and epidemiologically harmless.
“With all due respect for the difficult situation, we expect the Federal Council to make what is possible. The sports clubs want and will take on this responsibility, that is certain, and they will also be measured against it », Swiss Olympic President Jürg Stahl is quoted as saying.
