On June 14, the Swedes want to get started again, in front of spectators. Despite Corona. If that is possible, Enquist says: «The fact that we want to play in front of the audience doesn’t mean that we are so ignorant that we don’t understand the risks. So the goal is to play in front of full ranks, but if that is not possible or responsible, we will of course play in front of a reduced audience. »

Should a viewer become infected, that would not be the end of the world for Enquist. But on the contrary. «It will inevitably happen that someone gets infected. We have to realize that most of us will become infected with corona. It’s just a question of not intensifying the spread of the disease. So if we play in front of full ranks – which I think is a bit unlikely at the moment – then the spectators also have to take personal responsibility. The virus is said to be contagious only two meters away. So you have to find solutions to create space, ”says the 60-year-old.

“An entire team is not contagious”
The players should also be protected against the virus, says Enquist: «Our teams are under such observation by the medical team that other people do not. We want the team doctor to check the players to see if they are symptom free. And must have thoroughly tested them before training and playing. Otherwise we try to be responsible and, for example, to refrain from giving in. »

And what happens if a player becomes infected? Does the whole team have to be in quarantine? «We are still working on it. But in general I would say: no. An entire team is not contagious unless they show symptoms. Of course, there is a risk of a player becoming infected, but you can’t quarantine an entire team. And we hope that tests will be available soon. »

So that nothing stands in the way of a season start on June 14th.
