SV Reislingen/Neuhaus Stuns Lupo/Martini Wolfsburg to Reach A-Jugend District Cup Final

Gifhorn/Reislingen/Vorsfelde. Three semi-finals in the football district cup with four teams from the region – but only one is now in the final! The A youth of SV Reislingen/Neuhaus knocked out the favorite Lupo/Martini Wolfsburg kickers 6:4 after penalties and will face JFV 37 Göttingen in the final. In the B youth, on the other hand, the SSV Vorsfelde and the MTV Gifhorn II had to give up.

A-Jugend-District Cup

SV Reislingen/Neuhaus – Lupo/Martini Wolfsburg 6:4 nE (2:2). Out in the semifinals for the favorites from the national league! The guests had a lot of ball possession, but could only make little use of it. “Reislingen was very deep, defended well and was very well prepared,” said Lupo coach Sebastian Bou Hamad. His team came back twice, but the home side prevailed on penalties. “We weren’t really there mentally, we didn’t accept it. We often missed the last pass to score. That was annoying,” Bou Hamad continued. The SVR, on the other hand, made it into the final of the district cup and met JFV 37 Göttingen there.

B-Youth District Cup

SSV Vorsfelde – Freie Turner Braunschweig II 6:7 penalties (3:3). Defeat on penalties despite catching up – the SSV was eliminated in the semi-finals of the district cup. The guests dominated the first half of the game and already led by two goals. “After that we were offensively more powerful and despite the interim 1:3 we were able to equalize”, described SSV coach Kevon Arnett. His team created chance after chance after the break and was able to catch up. But the penalty shoot-out was the end of the line. “In the end luck decided. But as coaches we are still incredibly proud of what the team has achieved. She never gave up, kept fighting and showed a strong will”, Arnett was satisfied despite the elimination.

MTV Gifhorn II – FC Eintracht Northeim 2: 4 (2: 1). The hosts didn’t let themselves be disturbed by the early deficit and even turned the game around until the break. But in the final phase Northeim put the lid on it, the goal to make it 4-2 came only in the seventh minute of added time.
