Sutiyoso Joins NasDem, Immediately Becomes the Advisory Council

Former Governor of DKI Jakarta Sutiyoso now officially joined the NasDem Party. Sutiyoso, who had been the head of the PKPI, immediately became a member of the NasDem Advisory Council.

As it turned out, there was the role of the NasDem Chairman, Surya Paloh, behind Sutiyoso’s joining. Some time ago, the former head of BIN had a chance to meet with Surya Paloh.

“If we want to build this country, one of them we have to go through a political party. Why did I join the NasDem Party? Honestly, I have a very close relationship with Pak Surya Paloh since I became the Commander of the Jaya Regional Military Command,” said Bang Yos, his nickname. familiar with Sutiyoso, in a written statement, Wednesday (16/6/2021).

In the structure of the NasDem Party’s DPP, Sutiyoso immediately took the position of a member of the Advisory Council of the NasDem Party. Sutiyoso’s arrival was welcomed by the Chairman of the Advisory Council of the NasDem Party, Siswono Yudo Husodo.

He hoped that Sutiyoso’s joining with NasDem could provide benefits not only for the party, but also for the future development of the Indonesian nation and state.

Siswono was also present at the meeting between Surya Paloh and Sutiyoso. The meeting also discussed the 2024 election strategy.

“Now we will face the 2024 Election. In the meeting with the General Chair, Mr. Surya Paloh, we also discussed the opportunity to gain more votes. We are optimistic with such great enthusiasm from the center to the regions by looking at the election results, where NasDem won an encouraging victory in many areas. With the trend of increasing votes, God willing, in the 2024 election, NasDem’s votes will rise again, “said Siswono.
