Two men who allegedly distributed a sex video of Patricia Paay in February 2017 are yet to appear in court. The Noord-Holland court confirms to NU.nl that the case will be heard on May 14.
In February 2019, it became clear that the Public Prosecutor’s Office had made a transaction proposal to the two suspects. Such a proposal can range from a fine to a community service and ensures that a suspect does not have to appear in court.
However, the two suspects did not agree with the proposal and that is why a lawsuit is still pending.
In addition to the two suspects also got No style at the time a transaction proposal after sharing a link to Paay’s video. They agreed to a fine.
The civil court in Amsterdam previously decided that No style and the suspects had to pay damages of 30,000 euros for the intangible damage that the singer suffered from revealing the images.
Paay previously said that the distribution of the video has destroyed her life. “It has changed me. I am much less cheated and more shy,” she said about this last year.
