Ahmed Hegazy, the national team’s first defender and the English club West Bromwich, is currently in Egypt, specifically since the deadly crisis of Virus Corna.

Ahmed Hegazy had informed Al-Ahly officials that he would not play in Egypt except for the Red Fort, explaining that he prefers to stay in his foreign experience in Europe, whether with West Bromwich or with any other club in Europe that achieves his professional aspirations and if he decides to return he will be for Al-Ahly and not to any other club.
Al-Ahly tried to include Hegazy during the next season, where the officials of the Red Castle spoke to him, and they presented him with a good offer, but Hegazy stressed that he wanted to stay in Europe and if he wanted to return to Egypt, he would play for Al-Ahly, denying his desire to play for any other club, be it Pyramids or others.
