There could be changes after July 12, July 14 is a historic date in the French Revolution, with the storming of the Bastille, it could perhaps be like that if Uefa were to capitulate as well. The reasons? Simple, the Court of Justice of Luxembourg has set the hearing for the next 11 and 12 July to decide on the preliminary ruling raised by judge Ruiz de Lara, who asked the Curia of the European Union to decide whether UEFA has a position of Monopoly.
Many argue that the question has been raised in the correct way and that there are possibilities, even if it is not clear whether many or few that we can reach a sensational sentence that could break Uefa’s monopoly on football. There are, in fact, 27 EU judges who will have to express themselves on the issue and despite the difficulties, it is not certain that they can all be in favor of UEFA.
Let us remember that today Uefa enjoys a position of absolute domination, as an organizer but also as a beneficiary of resources which, probably, it should not have to this extent.
A revolution is therefore possible, let us remember, it must be said that today this football is leading to an absolute domination of English football, with all the Premier teams enjoying riches beyond everyone’s reach.
