Super Mario Maker 2: World Maker mode, Koopalings … the last major update announced – News

After welcoming Link’s Legendary Sword last December, Super Mario Maker 2 will once again be full of new features with a final major update. This will be available from tomorrow, and will notably add a mode to create your own worlds.

Named “Create a super world” (“World Maker” in English), this new mode will allow you to create and customize your cards in the style of Super Mario World and link several levels on a path to the castle of the boss. Up to eight worlds can be grouped, each of which can contain five levels, to create your own Super Mario game with up to 40 levels. It will of course be possible to share all of this online with the community.

The update does not stop there: the Koopalings, the seven Bowser’s minions, each with their own unique abilities, can be confronted in the levels as bosses. Other enemies will also be added, namely the Phantos and the Mechakoopas. Side power-ups and new objects, we will find the Mushroom of Super Mario Bros. 2, which allows you to catch and then launch enemies and objects, the frog costume Super Mario Bros. 3 to swim faster and run on water, the P-Balloon Super Mario World, the Super Acorn of New Super Mario Bros. U and the boomerang flower of Super Mario 3D World. Five variations of objects from Super Mario 3D World, such as the Cannon Box and the Goomba Mask, complete the program.

All this is presented in detail in the video below and will be added for free this Wednesday, April 22. This will be the last major update for Super Mario Maker 2.
