London: West Indies mystery spinner Sunil Narine has achieved a remarkable milestone in the T20 format. Narine achieved a rare feat by becoming the third player to take 500 wickets in the T20 format.
He is playing for Surrey in the Vitality Blast T20 in England. Narine made it to the elite list with a wicket against Glamorgan. Windies legend Dwayne Bravo and Afghan spinner Rashid Khan are the ones who achieved this feat before Narine.
Glamorgan star Colin Ingram is Narine’s 500th victim. The player has played 460 matches. Bravo is at the top with 615 wickets and Rashid is second with 555 wickets.
Narine is the most economical bowler to have taken more than 200 wickets in this format. The star’s economy is (6.05). He has taken four and four over wickets 12 times. His best performance was taking 5 wickets for 19 runs. Average 21.11 runs.
Narine is also one of the rare players in world cricket to score 460 or more in T20Is. Kieron Pollard (625), Bravo (558), Shoaib Malik (510) and Chris Gayle (463) have played more T20Is than Narine.
