Already next week, on August 4 and 5, the “Summer Sound 2023” festival will take place, during the preparation of which various restrictions have been introduced for the residents of Liepāja in Jūrmala Park and its vicinity due to safety reasons.
Pedestrian access to the festival area will be restricted starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, when construction work will begin in the Jūrmala park and beach area. You can go to the beach either along Miķeļa Valteras street to the south side or through the exit to the beach at the end of Roņu street, following the signs to the north side.
The festival will open its gates to visitors on Friday, August 4 at 3 p.m., but free entry to the festival territory is scheduled for Saturday, August 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The car pass regime for entry from Roņu Street will start from Thursday, August 3 at 8.00 a.m.
Festival organizers will provide car entry passes to restricted access areas for their residents and businesses. Please apply for passes by writing to [email protected]. They will be available at the entry point at the intersection of Roņu Street and Zvejnieku Alley.
Already on Wednesday and Thursday in Julianna’s yard, Liepāja residents and guests of Liepāja will have the opportunity to attend various concerts of the festival for free. On Friday and Saturday, the long-awaited festival “Summer Sound” will take place, within the framework of which not only such world music stars as Meduza, Felix Jaehn, Alle Farben, Ukrainian Kalush Orchestra, neighboring legends Ewert and The Two Dragons will take place on four different stages, but also all domestic a constellation of musical stars – Gustavo, Skyforger, Good Tip, Oak, Roland Che, Singapore Satin, Boo, Adventures of the Milkman and many others.
“Summer Sound 2022” gathered a record number of visitors – more than forty thousand people visited the festival on both days.
